Located within the south-west corner of Leadenhall Market, the project transforms an existing ground floor and basement unit into a new pub and restaurant, using refurbishment and reuse to create a contemporary hospitality destination rooted in its historic setting.

A bespoke timber and mirrored screen reconfigures the former open-plan restaurant into two flexible spaces: an intimate front bar and a larger dining room, allowing the venue to adapt effortlessly throughout the day and evening.

Repair and reuse shaped the project throughout. The original bar, banquette seating, tables, chairs and stools were carefully restored and reintegrated, preserving existing craftsmanship while reducing waste and limiting the need for new materials.

This considered approach saved approximately 1 1.98 tonnes CO₂e of embodied carbon—equivalent to around four to five months of energy use for an average UK household—demonstrating how refurbishment can strengthen heritage while reducing environmental impact.
